세라린KIMNARIN Tax & Consulting
Tax - from the cradle to the grave. "In this era, a comprehensive, lifetime tax strategy has become a necessity." Foreign professionals who come to Korea may be highly accomplished in their own fields, yet they often have to start from zero with the Korean tax system. Several questions arise at once: residency status, whether to elect the special flat-rate tax option for foreign employees, double taxation with their home country, and overseas financial account reporting. How I Will Help 1. Pre-settlement consultation: I will review each client's residency and income structure so they choose the most favorable tax treatment from the start. 2. Housing advice: I will compare renting and buying from a tax perspective and, if buying, help structure the ownership and timing. 3. Ongoing compliance: I will keep track of annual filing and payment deadlines to prevent unnecessary costs such as penalties. 4. Departure and exit planning: I will calculate in advance the taxes that arise when a client leaves Korea or sells assets, so there are no surprises. Tax law is inherently complex, and Korean tax law in particular is not only amended frequently, but often in ways that are unfavorable to taxpayers. My principle has always been to explain complex rules in plain language and to make sure clients pay exactly what they owe, and no more. I hope to be a trusted partner for the talented foreign professionals who choose Korea, so they can focus on their work and their lives without worrying about taxes. Thank you for your consideration.
