Moving to Korea as an international student has been an exciting experience, but also a learning process. I wish I had started learning Korean earlier, as even basic language skills can make everyday life, administrative tasks, and communication much easier. I also wish I had known more about the academic culture and workplace etiquette before arriving. Adapting to different expectations takes time, but being proactive, asking questions, and reaching out to people makes a huge difference. Most importantly, I've learned that it's okay not to have everything figured out from the beginning. Building connections, staying open-minded, and learning from the people around you make the experience much more rewarding. Still a lot to learn, but that's part of the journey!
