I'm about halfway through my degree and the line on this board, "Someone a year behind you is looking for exactly that," made me want to write this down. 1. Start Korean earlier than you think you need to. 2. Treat paperwork as part of your research. 3. Build your week around the fixed points. 4. Make long runs work for you. 5. Ask your seniors. 6. Look beyond your own lab. 7. Keep a life outside the lab. If you're in your first year, what's the one thing you're struggling with right now? Ask in the comments, and I'll answer what I can. And if you're further along, please add what I missed.
