My Journey as an International Researcher in Korea
My journey as an international researcher has taken me from Pakistan to China and Oman, and now to Kyungpook National University in South Korea. As a Biotechnology Gold Medalist, BK Scholarship recipient, and PhD researcher with around 40 publications, I have learned that success is not only about research but also about adapting to a new culture, understanding university systems, and building meaningful connections. I wish I had known earlier how much support and guidance from fellow researchers can make a difference. My advice to international researchers in Korea is to ask questions, share experiences, and help one another with research, career development, settling in, and everyday life. Your experience may be exactly what someone else needs to make their journey easier. Let’s learn, grow, and succeed together. Ibrahim Khan
