K-STAR R&D Internship
Purpose
To provide international researchers who have earned a master's or doctoral degree in Korea with hands-on experience in real R&D settings, enhancing their employability and supporting their settlement in Korea
Target Audience
International talents who have graduated from a science or engineering graduate school in Korea and either hold a K-STAR visa (F-2-7S) or expect to obtain one within two months
Application Summary
Free pre-internship training (for 50 participants) and a monthly salary during the internship (KRW 2.6 million per month before tax, for 10 participants)
① Employability Training
- Duration: 2 days
- Venue: KIRD Daejeon Center (11F, TBC, 593 Daedeok-daero, Yuseong-gu, Daejeon)
- Content: Job-seeking preparation (writing cover letters, interview strategies, etc.), early workplace adaptation, and more
② Internship
- Duration: 3 months
- Location: The company where the intern passed the interview (varies by intern)
- Compensation: KRW 2.6 million per month (before tax)
- Requirements: Submission of monthly activity reports and a poster
