The group aims to help international researchers in Korea strengthen psychological resilience, overcome cultural and institutional challenges, and build sustainable academic and professional careers. Through peer coaching, mentoring, and a confidential support community, participants will develop greater self-efficacy, better understand Korean research culture, and build meaningful professional relationships.
The group will hold five regular meetings on the third Sunday of each month, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by dinner. The program covers psychological safety and group connection, Korean research culture and communication, stress management through DBT-based skills, mentoring and coaching from senior faculty and R&D experts, and the development of a five-year career roadmap in Korea. Participants will also share experiences, discuss cultural and workplace challenges, and build a long-term network of international researchers and collaborators. The detailed schedule and meeting locations may be adjusted in consultation with members.
